In tribute and
loving memory to
Grandma Echo....
May your soul fly above the clouds but
may your spirit stay close to our hearts...
We love you Grandma!!!

I
didn't want to close my eyes
I didn't want to sleep
So, as I stumbled thru the misty morning
I prayed the Lord my soul to keep.
I tried to explain,
I needed one more goodbye
One last refrain.
I didn't want to take their hands
When the angels came to call
But there were old familiar faces
Seen in pictures on the wall
And suddenly the pain
Just like the fear and the doubt
All fell away.
And I am watching over you
I can't be there to hold your hand
But I can hold your wounded heart
And I can listen to your sorrows
So let the healing start
Cause, I am watching over you
You can be sure......that I am watching over you.
I didn't want to close my eyes
But the dream was far too strong
And like the light it pulled me up
And it carried me along
I knew I could fly
Cause all I'd planted in your heart
Would stand up to time.
And I am watching over you
I can't be there to hold your hand
But I can hold your wounded heart
And I can listen to your sorrows
So let the healing start
Cause, I am watching over you
You can be sure....that I am watching over you.
I didn't want to leave the dream
I didn't want to wake
So as I looked into His loving eyes,
I prayed the Lord my soul to take.
