Conclusion of Program at
end of year
Our Reflecting the Light of the Lord Program ended the
first week in December. All who completed the
program reported this to the program director.
At our December Home, Family and Personal Enrichment
evening, the women were treated to a special Chicken
Cordon Bleu dinner with the men in our ward serving as
our waiters. The room was decorated beautifully
with white table clothes and battery operated candles
on the tables. A table was decorated that held
all the "Reflections" prints that the women, who had
completed the program, would be given.
We had a woman come and play her harp as we ate
dinner.
After dinner, we had a short program that included a
few women who shared their experiences of
participating in the Reflecting the Light of the Lord
Program. We had women perform a shortened
version of
"Women at the Well" (mostly the music).
After the closing prayer, those women who completed
the program, picked up their "Reflections" print.
(Note: Our Relief Society saved all of our
budget the entire year so that we could purchase the
prints to give to the women who completed the program.
We had two sisters who died during the year and we
presented a print to each of their husbands.)
Additional options for acknowledgment of completing
the program:
1) Ward Relief Society purchases "Reflection"
prints (11 in.x 11.5 in.) for each woman out of the
Relief Society budget at Lilies Lane's Relief
Society's discounted cost.
2) Ward Relief Society purchases "Reflection"
prints (small - 4.5 inx5 in.) for each woman out of
the Relief Society budget
at Lilies Lane's Relief Society's discounted cost.
3) Ward Relief Society presents a certificate of
completion of the program to the woman. A coupon
is attached that can be mailed with a check to allow
the woman to purchase the print at the Relief
Society's discounted cost.
