Society Women to Participate in Program
from Ward Relief Society Presidency Dear Relief Society Sisters: We issue a challenge to all sisters of the _____________Ward to join us in a very special effort this year to answer the call to arms issued by our general leaders. As we observe so many of the righteous traditions of the past being set aside by worldly concerns to be "politically correct", it is important that we strive to make sure the traditions in our own lives are patterned after those set by Jesus Christ. It is increasingly important that we be that "city set upon the hill that cannot be hid", (see Matthew 5:14) so that we can lead ourselves, our families, and those around us through the traps set by a very cunning adversary to lull us away from our eternal destiny. Therefore, we encourage you to participate in a program this year to "Reflect the Light of the Lord" in all that you do. Because of the covenants we have made with the Lord to take His name upon us, it is important for us to carefully examine all of our actins, thoughts, feelings, and other behaviors to make them consistent with those taught by the Master. As we have been warned, we can no longer afford to have a foot on each side of the fence. We must "Choose ye this day whom ye shall serve", and then make sure we bring our best effort to that service. We know the Lord will bless you in this effort.
