Carol Harding was born and raised in Utah, one of the
most fascinating and colorful areas of the American
West. This natural setting helped to inspire her
to become an artist at a very early age. While
still in grade school her art work was among those
chosen to be sent to Russia on a student cultural
project. She later won her first national art
competition at the age of thirteen.
Since then she has painted and taught art
professionally, participated in several invitational
and juried shows, plus, winning numerous top awards
including: Purchase Awards, Best of Show, First Place
and People's Choice. Recently, she received the
"Sharing the Vision Award" for outstanding achievement
in the area of Arts. Her artwork is shown by
popular galleries in several western states and her
paintings are owned by public and private collectors
throughout the country and abroad.
Working primarily with oils and pastels, Carol finds
inspiration from traveling and painting out of doors
and specializes in subjects that express her life-time
experiences which include figurative, landscapes and
still life arrangements.
Carol resides with her husband in Pleasant Grove,
Utah. There they raised a family of five
children. Carol designed and had an art studio
built near her home which made it possible to develop
her talent and also be available to the family.
Her family has always been her top priority and each
of her pieces of artwork has been inspired by them or
by her testimony in Jesus Christ. Her love for
her Savior and her family can be felt in every
painting she completes.
In the year 2000, as many trials were facing her and
her family, Carol had an overwhelming spiritual
experience with a pastel painting she was trying to
complete. After many prayers, she followed the
promptings and has shared the message of this
experience to her family, to Church leaders and to
many women through Home, Family and Personal
Enrichment programs. We quote Carol Harding, "A
book could be written of the miracles and blessings
that have transpired since sharing this painting and
it's message. I know that I must not tell others
what to see or feel, but I do testify that the Lord
loves us far beyond our comprehension. I know
that our Savior, Jesus Christ, will open the way for
this painting's message."
Lilies Lane invites you to open your heart and feel
